Double tap to react is coming to Google Messages!

Equipped with intelligent RCS technology, Google Messages is an excellent and widely used messaging app. To enhance the user experience, Google is preparing to deploy a minor yet significant change with a future update to the app, which will enable double tap to react.

Android smartphone and tablet’s priority messaging application has recently completed the widespread rollout of the Photomoji feature. Now, Google Messages getting some internal code changes as part of adding a double tap to react shortly.

Double tap to react in Google Messages would be somehow like Telegram’s functionality. The app lets us pick an emoji for a double-tap reaction, while a single tap lists a handful of emojis for reaction. Google is expected to implement reaction-related changes with the future app update.
