Android 15 Eligible Devices – Google Pixel [List]
Google Pixel devices will get Android 15 update later this year. The company launched the new OS on the Developer Preview channel in mid-February this year. This pre-release version brings the new OS into its early stage, so developers can develop an app ecosystem.
General users can also install the Android 15 Developer Preview build when it is released, but we advise you to wait until Public Beta. Google could launch the Android 15 Public Beta Program around this year’s I/O event, likely taking place in May.
Talking about eligible devices, 2024 marks a new era in Google’s mobile ecosystem. Devices released before the Pixel 6 lineup are unlikely to get the Android 15 update. This means Pixel devices powered by Tensor chipset will be getting the next OS upgrade.
Android 15 will be available for Google Pixel 6, 6a, 6 Pro, Pixel 7, 7a 7 Pro, Pixel 8 and 8 Pro. Google’s first foldable phone – Pixel Fold as well as the Pixel Tablet will also receive the new OS. If the company unveils the Pixel 8a at I/O 2024, it will also join the list of eligible devices.
Here’s the list:
- Google Pixel 6
- Google Pixel 6 Pro
- Google Pixel 6a
- Google Pixel 7
- Google Pixel 7 Pro
- Google Pixel 7a
- Google Pixel 8
- Google Pixel 8 Pro
- Google Pixel Fold
- Google Pixel Tablet
