Last week, Google launched the Android 15 Developer Preview Program for select Pixel devices. The company recommends users stay on stable Android 14 build rather than installing the Developer Preview to see changes.

The company clearly notes that “issue with sideloading the Developer Preview 1 build can sometimes cause the device to show a ‘Device is corrupted’ message after sideloading is completed.”

As the Developer Preview is first stage of Android’s development with Public, it usually causes big concerns with consumers. A similar unexpected thing probably occurred on some Pixel devices, leading Google to pull OTA images.

According to the info, Google pulled Android 15 Developer Preview 1 OTA images from the download page. It has been reported that the company has “temporarily disabled downloads for OTA images.”

The company recommended that you “flash a factory image to test devices whenever possible instead of sideloading an OTA system image.” However, this was not considered a showstopper.

Some Pixel 7 Pro users reported device brick problem post installing the Android 15 DP1 OTA. Google recommended flashing factory images on devices, but the advisory didn’t prove able to stop users from potential harm.

While these renders are created based on a leaked prototype image, take it as a grain of salt. The 2nd-gen Pixel Fold is rumored to boast a quad-camera system, featuring a primary, ultrawide, telephoto/periscope, and ToF sensor.

Google is also considering to fix a big mistake it made with the OG Pixel Fold. Skipping the Tensor G3, the next Pixel foldable phone could be equipped with the Tensor G4 chipset, the same chip will power the upcoming Pixel 9 series.
