Samsung introduces Galaxy Z Fold6 and Flip6 with 7 years of Android OS support and higher prices

After a long series of leaks, Samsung finally introduced the latest Z-series, the Galaxy Z Fold6 and Galaxy Z Flip6 devices. They’re more durable, lighter, and boast a few minor upgrades. Disappointingly, both models come with an increased price: the Galaxy Z Fold6 starts at a whopping $1,899, and the Z Flip 6 at $1,099.
Both phones have the latest super-fast Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chip, made just for Samsung. They’ll also get software updates for 7 years, just like the latest Galaxy S24 series. Both of these devices are a bit stronger too, with a better hinge and screen that can handle drops better. They’re also water-resistant, but not dustproof. Even though the IP48 rating sounds better now, it only means they can handle splashes and bigger things, not tiny dust particles.
The Galaxy Z Fold6 brings the display size up to 6.3 inches from 6.2 inches (featured in previous foldable,) while keeping the high resolution and refresh rate (2376 x 968 and 120Hz). The inner display size remains 7.6 inches. Weight also sees a slight improvement, dropping from 253 grams to 239 grams. While the camera system on the Fold6 stays largely the same with a 50MP main sensor and 10MP 3x telephoto, the ultrawide sensor gets a bump to 12MP and promises better low-light performance.
Unlike the Z Fold6, the Galaxy Z Flip6 keeps the same 3.4-inch cover screen as its predecessor. There are some minor improvements with the cover screen: smarter reply suggestions, more widget options, and interactive wallpapers.
The device is also packed with some significant upgrades. It features a larger 4,000mAh battery, a first-ever vapor cooling chamber for the Flip series, and an upgrade to 12GB of RAM in the base model. Storage also starts at 512GB, a welcome change considering the price increase.

Google Photos and Messages get simple updates

Google is making its apps easier to use with some fresh changes spotted in recent updates. These tweaks aim to improve how you interact with Google Photos and Google Messages, keeping things smooth and user-friendly.
In Google Photos, a new feature might soon let you pick your favorite photo effects more easily. Instead of digging through menus, you could save your go-to filters or adjustments and apply them with a tap. This would make editing photos quicker, especially if you like using the same styles often.
It’s all about saving time and keeping your pictures looking great without extra hassle. Meanwhile, Google Messages is adding clearer labels to show when you’re using RCS chats. RCS is a modern messaging system that offers cool features like read receipts and better group chats, unlike old-school SMS.
The new labels will help you know at a glance which chats are using this upgraded system, so there’s no confusion about what kind of message you’re sending. These updates show Google’s focus on small but smart improvements.
They’re not flashy overhauls, just practical changes to make everyday tasks smoother. While these features were found in app files and aren’t live for everyone yet, they hint at Google’s plans to keep its apps simple and helpful. Expect these changes to roll out soon, making your photo edits and chats a bit easier to manage.
New Google Gemini feature hints at easy screen search

Google’s Gemini AI might soon make searching on your phone even simpler. A recent promotional video accidentally showed a “Circle Screen” feature, suggesting a new way to interact with the AI. This tool could let users circle anything on their screen to start a search, much like Google’s existing Circle to Search. It’s an exciting hint at how Gemini could help with quick, visual queries, making it easier to find information without typing.
The video, which was briefly shared, has sparked curiosity about how this feature will work. It seems designed to blend smoothly with Android devices, especially Samsung’s top models. Since Gemini is replacing Google Assistant on many phones, this could be a big step in making the AI more user-friendly. People are eager to see how it will handle tasks like identifying objects or answering questions based on what’s on the screen.
Meanwhile, Google is also experimenting with Gemini-Exp-1206, an advanced version of its AI. This model promises better skills in coding, math, and following instructions. While it’s still in testing, it shows Google’s push to make Gemini smarter and more helpful. However, being experimental, it might have some quirks, like occasional odd responses or limited access to live data.
These updates point to a future where Gemini feels more natural to use. Whether it’s circling something on your screen or tackling complex tasks, Google is working to make its AI a seamless part of daily life. As these features roll out, they could change how we use our phones for the better, offering faster and more intuitive ways to get answers.
Google Pixel Watch 4: First look at its design

Google’s upcoming Pixel Watch 4 is creating buzz with its sleek and modern design, revealed through recent leaks. The smartwatch keeps the signature circular shape that fans love, but it brings some fresh updates that make it stand out.
The Pixel Watch 4 has a smooth, rounded body with a shiny finish, giving it a stylish and polished look. Its digital crown, a key feature for easy navigation, is slightly larger this time, making it simpler to use. The watch also seems to have a thinner frame, which could mean a bigger screen for viewing notifications, apps, or fitness stats.
Leaked images show the watch in multiple colors, including a classic black, a soft silver, and a bold new shade that might catch attention. The straps look comfy and interchangeable, so users can switch up their style easily. Whether you’re dressing up or keeping it casual, the Pixel Watch 4 seems ready to match any vibe.
On the tech side, rumors suggest the Pixel Watch 4 will run on Google’s latest Wear OS, offering smoother performance and better battery life. It’s expected to pack advanced health features like heart rate tracking, sleep monitoring, and possibly even stress detection. These tools aim to help users stay on top of their wellness goals.
The leaked video gives a 360-degree view of the watch, highlighting its slim design and vibrant display. While Google hasn’t shared an official release date yet, the Pixel Watch 4 is shaping up to be a strong contender in the smartwatch world. Fans are excited to see how it will blend style and smart features when it finally hits the market.
