Google updates Pixel Weather and Messages with simple tweaks
Google is bringing small but helpful changes to two of its popular apps: Pixel Weather and Google Messages. These updates, rolled out on March 25, 2025, aim to make things easier and clearer for users.
For Pixel Weather, the app now shows dates next to weather forecasts, so you can quickly see which day’s weather you’re checking. There’s also a new “Save” button that lets you keep a location after searching for it—no more losing track of places you want to monitor.
These little additions make the app more user-friendly and practical for everyday use. Meanwhile, Google Messages is getting a fresh look for its text box. After trying out different styles in 2024, Google has settled on a cleaner design.
The new text field is simpler, with shortcuts like a plus sign, emoji button, and gallery icon all neatly lined up. This change cuts down on clutter and makes typing or adding stuff to your chats feel smoother. It’s now widely available, so most users should see it soon.
Both updates show Google’s focus on making its apps easier to use without overcomplicating things. The Pixel Weather tweak helps you stay organized, while the Messages redesign keeps texting straightforward. These aren’t huge overhauls, but they’re smart improvements that fit into daily life. If you’ve got a Pixel device, check out these changes—they’re live as of March 26, 2025!
