Broken Pixel Watch? Google Offers Discounted Replacement
Mobile vendors are continuously putting efforts to make smartphones easily repairable. It isn’t the same case with wearable products such as smartwatch and earbuds. Meanwhile, Google is allowing you to get your broken or faulty Pixel Watch replaced at a discounted price.
According to 9to5Google, Google is offering outright replacements for your broken or faulty Pixel Watch. The company notes that “you may be able to purchase a replacement” for your Pixel Watch at a discount if it’s “out of warranty or your claim isn’t covered.”
Simply put, if your Pixel Watch is now out of warranty and you have not claimed for any repair during the warranty period, Google may offer you a replacement unit with a discount. However, the replacement package won’t include a charging cable or bands.
It’s worth noting that Fitbit also offers the same replacement policy, which includes a discount. While Google clearly didn’t reveal what would be the discount on replacement, it’s still a pretty good deal. It looks like the change has implemented around late January.
