LineageOS 21 launches with new Glimpse app, tweaked UI [Android 14]

Famous custom skin LineageOS announced its new iteration – LineageOS 21, based on Android 14 QPR1. Usually, the company launches new versions in the second quarter of every year. However, the LineageOS 21 comes slightly earlier, bringing UI tweaks and a lot more.

LineageOS 21 comes with nearly fully redesigned apps such as Jelly, Dialer, Contacts, Messaging, LatinIME (Keyboard), and Calculator. Notably, LineageOS 21 introduces a new app namely Glimpse, which takes over as the default Gallery app in the software skin.

The press release states that LineageOS v21 is based on the latest Android 14 version, QPR1. Security patches from January 2023 to February 2024 have been merged to LineageOS 18.1 through v21. It also has a brand new boot animation by our awesome designer Vazguard!
