Google Weather 3D icons expanding to Widgets, At a Glance
Google Weather became a standalone application on Pixel smartphones last year. The native app also got a major design and user interface overhaul across sections. Now, the new icons of Google Weather have started expanding to home screen widgets and At a Glance.
X/Twitter user @SoftPixel0 received the revamped Google Weather icons in Widgets and At a Glance on his Pixel device. It shows the company has silently started the rollout of the app’s changes to combined assets such as home screen widgets and so on to Pixel Launcher.

As you can see in the screenshots below, the new design brings a slight 3D element to the icon, rather than being completely flat. At present, the rollout of these new icons seems limited to select Pixel devices.
We expect Google Weather will soon get a new update from the Play Store, which will implement icon-related changes for a wider audience. Have you received the new icons on your Pixel?
