Samsung Galaxy S24’s Instant Slow-Mo feature will expand to S23, Tab S9, Z Flip 5 and Z Fold 5
Google and Samsung are some of the phone makers that expand new flagship device features to older ones. While Pixel 8’s features are yet to come on older models, Samsung confirmed that Galaxy S24’s Instant Slow-Mo feature will expand to S23 series, Tab S9 series, Z Flip 5, and Z Fold 5.
According to Samsung community moderator, Samsung Galaxy S24’s Instant Slow-Mo feature will be rolled out to the Galaxy S23 series, Tab S9 series, Z Flip 5, and Z Fold 5. Notably, the feature works with 8-bit videos shot in 720p to 8K and MP4 format.

Samsung mod also mentioned that future software updates will likely enhance this feature, including compatibility with more video formats and resolution types. Notably, Instant Slow-Mo is one of the most striking features of the new Galaxy S24 series.
Users can long-press on a compatible video in the Galaxy S24 gallery, and the phone — using the power of AI — will generate new frames and apply a slow-motion effect. Due to hardware requirements, flagships released before 2023 are not eligible for the AI slow-mo function.
