The carousels go from pills to rounded rectangles in the Library tab as well as standalone buttons go in the opposite direction. Also, there’s a dark theme mismatch for the Your Books/Shelves/Series/Upcoming tab background.
Adding to this, Material You redesign modernizes the Wishlist, and Shop tab, keeping the Reading view and Settings unchanged. The changes are applied in Google Play Books version 2024.2.9.0, rolling out through Play Store.
