This year, Google is expected to introduce its second-generation foldable. Recently, tipster Onleaks in collaboration with Smartprix revealed high-quality renders of the Google Pixel Fold 2 smartphone, giving an early look at the refreshed camera design and key changes.

Google Pixel Fold 2 renders confirm that there will be a refreshed camera module design. The company is also opting for under-display camera technology, which Samsung first shipped with the Galaxy Z Fold 3. There’s plenty to explore, let’s jump into the details.

Google’s upcoming Pixel Fold 2 will likely boast a triple rear camera setup. Ditching the horizontal island, Google has gone for a bulky, rectangular camera island that protrudes from the rear panel; housing two pill-shaped cutouts.

In the first cutout from the top is a camera sensor and a pair of sensors, while the lower cutout contains two camera sensors and a tiny cutout. The flash module and a microphone are toward the right of these camera sensors.

When folded, the phone measures about 155.2 x 77.1 x 10.54 mm. The cover screen which brings a centrally-located punch-hole camera, measures about 6.4 inches, including the corners, the measurement goes up to 6.6 inches.

When unfolded, the Pixel Fold 2 measures about 155.2 x 150.2 x 5.27 mm. Its inner screen measures 7.9 inches diagonally and it goes up to 8.1 inches (factoring in the corners).

The USB-C port, speaker grill, microphone, and SIM tray are on the lower frame, while the power/volume buttons are on the right side. On the top, the phone has an antenna band and a secondary speaker grill.

Previously, it was reported that the Pixel Fold 2 will be equipped with a Tensor G4 processor, the same as the upcoming Pixel 9 flagships. If it’s true, we can speculate a launch later this year, pre-loaded with Android 15.
