WhatsApp brings dynamic and engaging stickers, thanks Lottie [Beta]
WhatsApp is preparing to implement support for the Lottie stickers framework. The company has recently released a Beta 2.24.5.10 update for Android via the Google Play Store. The build indicates that Lottie framework support is being tested for the platform.
WABetaInfo reports that WhatsApp has been exploring a feature to send animated emojis created using the Lottie framework since last year. The platform is about to deploy the Lottie stickers framework to offer more dynamic animations on WhatsApp.

Lottie support will join the current WebP format, which offers efficiency and quality – together. However, Lottie framework stickers can include intricate movements, transitions, and effects, making them more engaging and expressive.
While Lottie offers more complex and dynamic animations compared to WebP images, they can also be scaled up or down without losing quality. Thanks to this much-needed upgrade, users will be able to take advantage of a higher-quality experience for stickers.
Currently, the feature to share Lottie stickers is under development.
