Hopefully, you may have been having a majestic weekend. Today, we initiate our Weekly Headlines that take you to all the latest and breaking insights regarding Google and the Android ecosystem. I will try to put useful and interesting topics as much as possible.

Android 15 – Developer Preview [1]

On February 16, Google officially unveiled the Android 15. As usual, the new OS is now available for Developers, with Public Beta expected to begin in May. All Tensor-powered Pixel phones support the Developer Preview build of the new operating system.

Pixel Fold 2 – First Look [Renders]

Google’s second-generation foldable phone will likely debut a new design language. High-res renders revealed by Onleaks show that the Pixel Fold 2 could feature a refreshed camera module design. The phone may also get upgraded with under-display camera technology.

Play Store – AI App Highlights [Testing]

Android’s official app distribution platform is about to be fueled with AI capabilities. It has been discovered that the Google Play Store is testing an AI-powered App Highlights feature. It shows key points about the apps, similar to the AI-based FAQ’s feature.

Google Pay – Sunsetting [US-only]

As part of pushing the Wallet app, Google announced the discontinuation of the Pay app in the US. The decision will be applied from June 4, 2024. However, the company confirmed that the Pay app will continue to foster consumer experience in India and Singapore.

Phone by Google – Audiomojis [Testing]

Google Phone app will add audiomojis and screen effects functionality to make your calling experience more fun. Developers have been making internal changes for months, whereas the most recent development sheds more light on what’s going on behind the doors.
