Google Calendar for iOS and iPadOS rolling out new lockscreen widgets. This expansion joins homescreen, which already offers the Calendar app’s widgets. iPhone and iPad users can get it with version 24.7.0 of the Google Calendar app.

As you can see in the screenshot below, “What’s Next” to “View your upcoming events and tasks” is available in three configurations. The 2×1 rectangular widget includes the duration and title, whereas the circular widget just notes the time.

It’s worth noting that Google Calendar for iOS homescreen already offers “What’s Next” in 1×1 and 2×1 confirmations, as well as a useful “What’s next with month view.” Apps like Drive and Gmail also support lockscreen widgets on iOS.

Download the latest version of Google Calendar from Apple’s App Store and reboot your iPhone or iPad to get widgets.
