Google Maps Glanceable directions feature now available
Google Maps getting the Glanceable directions feature on Android. The company first introduced it in February last year for Android and iOS platforms.
In a recent development, a new setting called “Glanceable directions while navigating” has appeared in Google Maps. It allows users to activate the Glanceable directions feature and have an enhanced Maps experience.
The new glanceable directions feature allows you to track your journey right from your route overview or lock screen. It will now display updated ETAs and where to make your next turn without unlocking the phone like before.
Notably, Google Maps (11.116 for Android and 6.104.2 for iOS) added this feature. You can activate it through Settings > Navigation settings, to see updated ETAs & your next turn, right from your route overview or lock screen.
