Google Photos getting new Activity-based personalization setting

Published

on

Google Photos surprisingly begins receiving a new Activity-based personalization setting. The application has recently started to combine the auto-grouping Stacks feature on Android.

This function works based on the Memories carousel at the app’s top. To offer this individualized experience, Google Photos will take into account what Memories you view or skip.

Notably, the Google Photos app’s new personalization feature is activated by default, but it can be disabled from Settings. If you disable, activity data will be deleted, but photos library (Memories & Creations) won’t be impacted.
