ChatGPT app for Android is getting a 4 x 2 homescreen widget with its latest update. The new release bumps the app to version 1.2024.052 and installs a nifty homescreen widget streamlined to enhance user experience.

The new ChatGPT widget includes four shortcuts: text, camera, image, and voice query, allowing users to access these functions directly from their Android phone’s home screen.

The app’s latest build is being rolled out to Android devices through Google Play Store. As the deployment is gradual, your device may not be able to access it immediately, however, give it a reboot to increase the possibility.

Hitting the message opens the ChatGPT app to let users seed text and continue their query. Meanwhile, the Camera and Image toggles belong to ChatGPT Plus, which you won’t be able to access without subscription.
