Photomath officially became a Google app on the Play Store, 9to5Google confirms. Way back in May 2022, the company announced its acquisition, with the deal closed last year after a regulatory review.

As the name suggests, it allows you to take a photo of a math equation, including word problems, to get step-by-step explanations. Besides, it supports elementary math, algebra, geometry, trigonometry, statistics, and calculus.

Photomath for Android has over 100+ million downloads and a 4.5 rating on Play Store. As spotted, the application switched to Google’s publisher account on Android’s Play Store and Apple’s App Store.

Basic plan offers step-by-step explanations for free. You can unlock extra features such as custom visual aids, extra “how” and “why” tips, and deep-dive solutions for hundreds of textbooks by paying $10 monthly or $70 annually.
