Google Pixel phones will get sticky and bounce keys with June 2024 Android Feature Drop
Google is already working on the development of new features and enhancements for the next Pixel Feature Drop. Android expert Mishaal Rahman revealed that the June 2024 Feature Drop will bring features like sticky and bounce keys for physical keyboards.
According to the info, the recently released Android 14 QPR3 Beta 2 has revealed upcoming accessibility features like sticky and bounce keys for physical keyboards. Besides, a slow key setting is also in the works, but it could only be available in future Android releases.
No doubt, the US tech giant has gradually enhanced support for physical keyboards on Android as it aims to continue launching devices like the Pixel Tablet and Pixel Fold. Some accessibility features are expected to go live for the Public by June 2024.
For starters, the sticky keys feature (in Windows devices like PCs and laptops) let users hold down buttons without needing to. Whereas, the bounce key feature tells the system to ignore unintended keystrokes of the same alphabet/character.
When you connect a physical keyboard to your device in Android 14 QPR3 Beta 2, you can now enable two new accessibility options: "sticky keys" and "bounce keys".
