Google’s March 2024 update apparently addressed a Pixel 7 bug that caused high-pitched noise in videos. It is reported that the problem first emerged after December’s Feature Drop, targeting Tensor G2 devices.

Users complained the bug caused a high-pitch noise to appear in video playback, while there was no noise during the video recording. Meanwhile, the latest Pixel software update seems to have fixed the problem on the Pixel 7 series.

While Google hasn’t mentioned a specific bug fix for the Pixel 7 series, users confirmed that the problem got disappeared. The changelog only mentions a camera-related bug fix for Google’s Pixel 7 series smartphones.

It seems like Google may have identified the cause occurring the high-pitched noise while recording. The company acknowledged the bug last year, but the address took over two months to be deployed.
