Samsung to increase Sony camera adoption in Galaxy phones: Report

Samsung Galaxy phones will increase the adoption of Sony camera sensors. ETNews reports that Sony is exploring plans to relocate part of its image sensor production process to Korea.

Sony intends to move its image sensor post-processor to South Korea to conduct Samsung Galaxy’s supply. The Japanese manufacturer plans to expand and strengthen the image sensors supply to Samsung Galaxy phones.

An industry insider revealed that Samsung’s MX division is encouraging competition by mixing image sensors made by its system LSI division with Sony products in Galaxy smartphones.

It is being reported that Sony is trying to establish a production base near its customers to gain an edge in competition with Samsung’s System LSI division, which produces image sensors.
