The Google Photos app will soon be upgraded with a major redesign across functions. Recently, it has been discovered that the Google Photos app is testing Grid and List view designs for the Albums section.

AssembleDebug on X revealed that the Google Photos app’s Albums tab is experimenting with Grid and List view designs. It will give users the choice of the appearance of the folders aligned in the Albums section.

Additionally, the app is also testing “On this device” photos, probably to display photos that are not backed up. Well, these changes are currently hidden behind flags and can be accessed on rooted Android devices.
