Google Play System Update March 2024: Focus on Security, User Experience, and Bug Fixes

Google has recently released the February 2024 Play System Update for select Android devices. Google has also published the Play System Update details for March 2024, which might be available next month.

Starting in 2024, Google has been refreshing the Play System Update content in separate sections. You can see headings added on different dates, which list all the changes related to the function.

Notably, the March 2024 Google Play System Update will offer improved UX for rewards, quests, and offers for purchases in the Play Store. Consumers residing in the EU can provide data-sharing consent between Google Play and the broader Google ecosystem.

In addition, Google’s next Play System Update will display a new format for the content shown in the Events & Offers section on the detail and search results pages. Rest details can be found in the release notes as follows:

Android WebView v123 (2024-03-12)

• Improvements to security and privacy and updates for bug fixes.
• New developer features for Google & 3rd party app developers to support functionality related to displaying web content in their apps.

Important: Some features may be experimental and available to certain users.

Google Play Store v40.1 (2024-03-11)

• [Phone] If you are in the EU, you can provide data sharing consent between Google Play and the broader Google ecosystem.
