Wear OS for Google Pixel Watch adds progress indicator for app installs
Google is upgrading Wear OS for the Pixel Watch with a progress indicator for app installs. The change is noticed by some Pixel Watch users, hinting that a broader rollout is likely to happen.
MishaalRahman posted screenshots of the Wear OS for Pixel Watch/Watch 2’s progress indicator for app installs. Similar to the Pixel phone, the Pixel Watch also starting to display a progress bar on app installs from the Play Store.
As you can see in the images, when you’re downloading an app update through the Google Play Store, you may see update progress in your Pixel Watch Wear OS launcher’s app drawer.
Notably, both Pixel Watch and Pixel Watch 2 users are randomly noticing the progress indicator. It looks like the recent Feature Drop set a base for the feature and Google has now initiated a server-side rollout.
