WhatsApp gets Unread and Groups chat filters [Beta]
WhatsApp rolling out chat filters so you can easily access Unread and Groups conversations. WABetaInfo reports that some users have discovered the change deployed after installing WhatsApp Beta for Android 2.24.6.16 update.
With the latest Beta version, WhatsApp for Android added a new row containing chat filters: Unread and Groups. These toggles are aligned inside a new row containing chat filters at the top of the app’s conversation list.
This change is somewhat a replica of Telegram’s chat folders. Once enabled, Telegram adds certain folders in the sidebar, letting you access Unread messages along with conversations from Personal and Group chats.
Since the chat filters are in Beta, a public rollout may take place shortly. This would significantly enhance the user experience as you will have a quicker access to messages that are yet to be read and dedicated section of Groups.
