Google Drive developing Categories for easier access to files

Google Drive offers 15GB of free cloud storage that you can use to back up files from your phone. I mainly use Google Drive to store important documents and files that I never wanna lose. Sometimes, I face difficulties when I need a file in Google Drive, which the Categories feature will somehow address.

It has been discovered that Google Drive will soon add a Categories feature. The addition of this cool functionality will make it easier to categorize files and documents. Also, you won’t have to create too many folders and folder-in folders to manage that stuff.

Google Drive will let you select from 12 categories that are as follows:

  1. Auto
  2. Banking
  3. Expenses
  4. Home
  5. IDS
  6. Insurance
  7. Medical
  8. Pets
  9. School
  10. Taxes
  11. Travel
  12. Work

Once rolled out, all of the above-listed categories will be displayed on the homepage of Google Drive for Android. It will ease access to documents labeled with their specific categories.

AssembleDebug reports that users can put files into categories by tapping the 3 dots icon which is given in front of every file. The 3 dots option opens the context menu and here you will have a “Manage Categories” option too.
