Song search rolling out to YouTube Music
YouTube Music getting a Song search feature, following a slew of mobile updates released back in October. The feature is live on Android devices and can be accessed by launching a search and tapping a new “Song” tab.
YouTube Music’s Song search is way more advanced than the Voice search feature. The platform is making use of artificial intelligence to match the sound to the original recording.
9to5Google reports that YouTube Music users can play, sing, or hum, just like Hum to Search in Google Search. The app has added a dedicated button namely Song, featuring the same pill-shape design as Voice.
It’s somewhat of a similar feature to what Google Play Music introduced years ago. Compared to regular voice search, Song search will offer relevant results, making it easier to tune into your favorite song with less scrolling.
