Google Play Store v40.2 update rolling out to Android devices. New Play Store updates often install in the background, while you can manually check for the latest one through the app’s Settings > About > Play Store version.

The page will display the Play Store version installed on your Android device. You will also see an Update Play Store button, allowing you to trigger an immediate search and install a new available version.

Google Play Store v40.2:

  • With this new feature, you can now allow your Google Play apps to update automatically using limited mobile data.
  • With the Persistent Navigation Bar, you’ll be able to use the Play Store main navigation bar on more pages, like the search results, and app details, which will make it easier for you to navigate through the Play Store.
