Is Google Pixel’s Android 15 DP2 late?

Last month, Google released Android 15 Developer Preview 1 for Pixel devices. The program was announced on February 17, while the second build is scheduled to be released this month. It looks like, Android 15 DP2 is running late for Google Pixel phones and tablets.

It’s been a month since the first build of Developer Preview was released. However, Google hasn’t yet pushed the Android 15 DP2 to Pixel devices and it’s over a month now. The developer’s community and power users are eagerly waiting to see what Google has in its bag for DP2.

Well, Google confirmed I/O 2024 for May 14. At its annual developer conference, the company will likely announce the Public Beta of the Android 15 operating system. It will open the doors for a broader audience who like to test new features before the Pubic release.

Apart from Google, smartphones made by Xiaomi, OPPO, Vivo, OnePlus, and others will be eligible for Android 15 Beta. Samsung, which is the biggest Android vendor, will likely open its own Beta testing program sometime in August this year.
