Google Pixel 8a to have 120Hz display, Tensor G3, wider availability: Report
Google seems serious about its mid-range Pixel smartphone lineup. The upcoming Google Pixel 8a is now expected to be equipped with a 120Hz display, Tensor G3, display output, and wider availability internationally.
The Google Pixel 8a could feature a 120Hz display, Tensor G3, display output, and availability in more markets than the Pixel 7a. The phone is expected to launch around Google I/O which is scheduled for May 14, 2024.
The report states that the Pixel 8a will have a 6.1-inch FHD+ display at 120Hz, up from 90Hz on the Pixel 7a. The panel could also be brighter with a higher peak brightness of 1,400 nits while showing HDR content.
Similar to the Pixel 8 lineup, the Pixel 8a will be equipped with a Tensor G3. The phone’s camera module could consist of the same 64MP sensor as the primary camera paired with an ultrawide camera.
Based on the electronic warranty document, Pixel 8a would be available in more countries including the Czech Republic, Estonia, Finland, Hungary, Lithuania, Latvia, Poland, Romania, Slovakia, and Slovenia.
