Android 15 will let all games run over 60Hz capped refresh rate
Following the Android 15 DP2 release, MishaalRahman spotted a new toggle that will let all games run over 60Hz refresh rate. By default, Android restricts the refresh rate for games at 60Hz, which wouldn’t be any case now.
Android 15 DP2 introduces a new toggle to disable the default frame rate for games, which will disable the 60Hz limit. Notably, the OS caps games to 60fps, and developers need to enable higher framerates device by device.
Thanks to this new toggle under Developer Options, gamers can easily lift the restriction to unlock the potential for higher frame rates. Well, Developer Options are not accessible by default, but you can enable it by tapping 8-10 times on the Build number.

Google is expected to launch the Public Beta program of Android 15 next month. If you own a Pixel handset, we recommend you don’t install DP build as the Public Beta isn’t too far.
