Gemini AI in Google Messages doesn’t support videos and gifs, group chats
Google Messages is all set to get Gemini integration in Beta for Android. Recently, some features of Gemini have been revealed, and Google recently clarified the upcoming AI features in the Messages application.
According to AndroidAuthority, Google confirmed that Gemini in Google Messages allows image uploads of certain file types including JPEG, PNG, and WebP, with lacking support for videos and GIFs.
While Gemini AI is coming to Google Messages, it is not meant for group chats. The company also confirmed that group chat data “doesn’t reach Gemini servers, and Gemini will not respond.
