Samsung crushing the Selfie Game with monstrous 50MP front camera
Samsung is about to crush the selfie camera game with a 50MP sensor in an upcoming handset. Samsung is expected to soon unveil the Galaxy M55 5G, a rebadged variant of Galaxy A55, with some hardware differences.
MSPowerUser reports that Samsung fueled the Galaxy M55 5G with a monstrous 50MP selfie camera. Rather than Exynos, it’s equipped with a Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 processor and will likely expand beyond the Indian market.
Pay attention, the Galaxy S22 Ultra is equipped with a 40MP selfie camera. With the Galaxy S23 Ultra and S24 Ultra, Samsung left the megapixel race and introduced a 12MP front camera with improved performance.
If the report is true, Galaxy M55 5G will become the highest resolution front camera phone in Samsung’s history. To be noted, the Galaxy A55 5G uses a 32MP front shooter, the same as its predecessors.
The report also reveals that the Galaxy M55 5G will have a 6.7-inch Super AMOLED+ screen with Full HD+ resolution, supporting peak brightness of up to 1,000 nits and 120Hz refresh rate.
