Google Messages will get new attachment screen UI
Google Messages will get a new attachment screen UI for taking photos using a shortcut. As spotted by AssembleDebug in the latest Beta, Google Messages is testing a new attachment screen when taking photos.
While changes are yet to be rolled out to the Public, the Messages app’s latest Beta (v20240318 openbeta_dynamic) now shows an “Add More” and “Send” pill-shaped button instead of the current download and send options.
Meanwhile, Messages app’s latest Beta ditched one notable function: editing, which the stable version provides. Since the feature has just entered the development phase, Google will make it official with future app updates.
With Android 15, Google is bringing Satellite Connectivity capabilities to RCS Messages. At the same time, Gemini is also coming to Message to make things simpler and taking the user experience to another level.
