Samsung seems to be sticking with a 25W slow charger for the Galaxy Z Flip 6 and Z Fold 6. Smartphone makers brought massive charging speeds with recent products, making 25W insufficient in 2024.

China’s 3C certification confirms that the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 6 and Z Fold 6 support 25W charger. While Samsung continues to market it as “25W Fast Charging” consumers know it isn’t up to the mark for years.

Samsung’s Galaxy S24 Plus and S24 Ultra support up to 45W fast charging. It’s a satisfactory improvement over the company’s favorite 25W charging adapter. However, many rivals introduced adapters that offer over 100W speed.

Well, sticking with the matured 25W charging speed on foldables is a thing to consider. As there are less place of heat management solutions, higher charging wattage might be dangerous in certain cases.

As mentioned in 3C document, charging tech for Z Flip 6 and Z Fold 6 support following modes: 15W (5V/3A), 25W (9V/2.77A), 10W-18W (3.3-5.9V/3A) and 7.5W-25W (3.3-11V/2.25A)
