Assistant on Pixel phones deleting saved alarms, Google responds

Google Pixel phones reported having an Assistant-related bug, leading all saved alarms to be deleted rather than turned off. Speaking to reports, Google acknowledged the issue and confirmed a fix in the works.

Many Pixel users reported that Google Assistant commands deleting saved alarms on Android. It’s happening while the commands are being given to turn off the saved alarms on Android.

“We’re aware of reported issues with Assistant commands deleting saved alarms on Android. We’re working on a fix.” – Google spokesperson.

When the user gives a command like “turn off all alarms,” the Assistant is entirely deleting saved alarms instead of disabling them. AndroidAuthority found that only Pixel phones are affected by the problem, non-Pixels aren’t.

While users denied having any temporary solution to the problem, you can try clearing the app cache of Google Assistant and Clock apps. Once done, perform a reboot on your Pixel, hopefully, the problem will get resolved.
