Google Podcasts will be discontinued in the US next week. Following the announcement in September 2023, Google has now started notifying users that the Podcasts will stop functioning by April 2, 2024 BleepingComputer reports.

As part of promoting YouTube, Google has integrated Podcasts into YouTube Music. Users will be required to migrate their subscriptions to YouTube Music to follow and stream their favorite shows going forward.

If you don’t prefer immediate migration to YouTube Music, you will have additional time to do so. However, the Podcasts service won’t be accessible and you won’t be able to stream after April 2nd.

Notably, the Google Podcasts app installed over 500 million times on Android devices globally. The service gained this overwhelming support in just half a decade, ending up at a new home in YouTube Music.
