Android 15 fixes Private Space issue with Beta 2.1 update

Android 15 Beta 2.1 starts rolling out to Google Pixel devices. The latest release comes with fixes for Private Space-related issues. The firmware package weighs over 2.5Gb on Pixel phones, hinting at significant changes under the hood.

Google revealed Android 15 Beta 2.1 brings fixes to the issue where creating a private space on a device for the first time removed app icons from the Home screen. Some users also said that it removed Home screens if more than one Home screen had been added.

The best part is that the company marked this Private Issue solved under Issue 340868295. If you are already enrolled in Android’s Beta Program, you will be served an OTA update to Beta 2.1. You can install this release on any of the following Google Pixel devices:

  • Pixel 6 and 6 Pro
  • Pixel 6a
  • Pixel 7 and 7 Pro
  • Pixel 7a
  • Pixel Fold
  • Pixel Tablet
  • Pixel 8 and 8 Pro
  • Pixel 8a
