Google could soon bring support for QR codes to Android’s Quick Share. The company has recently replaced Nearby Share with a new Quick Share. Now, it appears to be working on streamlining the sharing procedure for enhanced user experience.

AndroidAuthority discovered the QR code ability in Android’s Quick Share feature. It will allow users to effortlessly share files by scanning the QR code. Simply put, the QR code scan will establish a temporary Bluetooth or WiFi/Hotspot connection between devices.

You may have ever faced a situation where you can’t see the receiver’s device in the user interface. Sometimes, the device fails to establish a connection due to the native hotspot security.

To recall, popular sharing apps like Xender and ShareIt have the same functionality. Quick Share occasionally fails to quickly share files due to hurdles while connecting with the receiver’s phone.

Meanwhile, the QR support will take the sharing experience to another level. It may also include other Android devices, Chromebooks, and Windows machines with the Quick Share app.
