Pixel 8’s Magic Editor feature starts rolling out to Google Photos. Last month, Google announced to bring some of the exciting AI features to Google Photos this month. The company is now fulfilling its promise as older Pixel phones starting to receive AI tricks.

According to the info, Google Photos is getting Pixel 8’s Magic Editor feature for older phones. Its functionality is to allow users to move, resize, or erase parts of a photo. It also allows adding contextual presets like Sky, Golden hour, and Stylized in Google Photos.

Once received, Google Photos in your Pixel phone will display a pulsating Magic Editor button. You “tap, circle, or brush to select,” while zooming in helps you pick out things. It’s also available for non-Pixel phone users, while the savings limit will be capped at 10/month.

Magic Editor is supported on all Android devices running Android 8 or later. Additional requirements include RAM greater than 4GB and a 64-bit application processor. Additionally, the following AI tools will also be going free for all Google Photos users:

  • Magic Eraser
  • Unblur
  • Sky suggestions
  • Color pop
  • HDR effect for photos & videos
  • Portrait blur
  • Portrait light: Add light/Balance light features in the Portrait light tool
  • Cinematic photos
  • Styles in collage editor
  • Video effects
