Google Pixel sales shrunk between Q4 2023 and Q1 2024: Report
Google Pixel sales are gradually improving over the years in the Global market. Meanwhile, a new report from Canalys reveals that the sales of Google Pixel phones shrunk between the end of 2023 and Q1 2024.
According to the info, Google sold around 2 million Pixel smartphones in the first quarter of the year. It’s the same milestone that the Pixel maker achieved in the first quarter of the last year.
While Pixel sales declined a bit in the first quarter, it’s not a panic moment for Google. Meanwhile, China’s Huawei has surpassed Google’s Tensor, shipping 8 million units in the same time frame.
Despite an overall downturn, there’s good news Google is exploding in popularity in Japan. The company reportedly makes up about 3% of the North American smartphone market, hitting 10 million shipments in 2023.
While Huawei and Google (with its 2 million chips shipped) are making strides, the major players in the mobile SoC market remain Apple, Qualcomm, and MediaTek. Samsung sits in a unique position, trailing behind the leaders but boasting a significant presence compared to the newcomers.
