Google Home to get new widgets system for home screen
Google Home app is preparing to add a new widget system for Android’s home screen. In the latest version 3.18.1.4, evidence of a redesigned widget system has been discovered. Currently hidden behind flags, an update to the application will unlock it for users.
The new Google Home widgets will allow users to control actions and automation. This goes beyond the usual functionality of the Home app’s widgets of letting users control devices. When added, you will be prompted to choose the Google account associated with Home.
It will pick the Google Account for the widget that you want to use to control connected devices. In addition, widget sizes can be adjusted which means you can create the perfect setup. These upgrades sound pretty impressive just Google’s approval will bring it to devices.
