Windows 11 adds AI replies for texts in Android’s Phone Link app
The latest Windows 11 Insider Preview introduces a new AI replies feature for Android’s Phone Link app. Microsoft is serious about artificial intelligence for Windows and other products as we can see continuous actions across products and services.
Windows 11 Insider Preview Build 26227 (Canary) comes with new AI-powered suggested replies to Android’s Phone Link app (version 1.24051.98 or newer). It’s a cloud-based AI feature, which offers three relevant replies when a user receives a message.
Once clicked, the suggested reply gets sent to the contact immediately. It will help users save time while using their Windows machine and having the phone connected. Meanwhile, the AI-powered replies might be odd sometimes so precautions are necessary.
Besides AI replies, Microsoft has also brought some changes to the Copilot shortcut on Windows. Laptop and PC machines that lack a dedicated Copilot button will be able to trigger the feature through the Win button + the number position for Copilot on the taskbar.
Last but not least, Windows 11 Insider Preview Build 26227 adds support for Emoji 15.1, which includes a phoenix, lime, brown mushroom, broken chain, and much more. These all new features and changes would be accessible on the latest versions of the OS and application.
