Gemini AI app arrives in UK, EU: Reach extends to over 170 markets
Google has expanded its Gemini AI app to the UK and EU region. This move takes the availability of the Gemini AI application to over 170 markets worldwide. The company has just kicked off the rollout of its new assistant to the UK and EU member states.
Gemini AI was already available in the UK and EU member states. However, the official rollout has made it available on Android’s Play Store. Users will now no longer be required to download the APK file and sideload it on their smartphone to access it.
Compared to Google Assistant, the Gemini app is an advanced assistant on Android. It’s equipped with AI and Generative AI capabilities to offer even more features. However, you will not be able to use Google Assistant if you opt for Gemini AI.
Google is continuously experimenting with Gemini AI. The company has recently announced its YouTube Extension, with Spotity Extension in the works. The functionality will be even more fruitful with deep integration with key apps and services.
