Latest Google Maps Beta doesn’t work with Android Auto, here’s the fix
Google Maps app has recently pushed a new Beta update, which reportedly crashes Android Auto. Some users report that Android App is crashing after installation of the latest Beta of the Google Maps application.
Android Auto redirects users to the apps list just after trying to access Google Maps. The app was working fine almost everywhere, meanwhile, the latest Beta apparently the culprit, making it continuously crash.
The issue seems limited to compatibility with Android Auto as users can use Maps on their phone. Notably, voice commands through Android Auto will cause Google Maps to crash.
How to fix?
Google has not cleared its stand on the Android Auto crashing issue. You can address it by signing off the Beta Activity of Google Maps. As soon as you install the previous build, you will be able to use Maps on Android Auto.
