Google Pixel 9 Pro XL runs on Geekbench w/ Tensor G4, 16GB RAM

Google Pixel 9 Pro XL allegedly spotted on Geekbench with Tensor G4 and 16 RAM. The company will launch its new flagship smartphones in October this year. The Pixel 9 series is expected to be equipped with a new Tensor chipset and upgraded RAM.

According to the info, the Google Pixel 9 Pro XL with Tensor G4 and 16 RAM has recently been benchmarked on Geekbench. At present, the device is running the Android 14 operating system, which would be bumped to version 15 prior to the official release.

Geekbench listing suggests Tensor G4 chip features an octa-core processor, featuring Mali G715 GPU. It has a high-performance prime core clocked at 3.1GHz, three additional performance cores running at 2.6GHz each, and four more efficiency cores operating at 1.95GHz.

Google apparently returned to octa-core architecture after debuting the Tensor G3 with nine cores. The Pixel 9 series’s Tensor G4 promises quicker clock speeds compared to its predecessor. Besides, 16GB of RAM will make the XL a true monster Android phone with AI capabilities.

Starting with the Pixel 6 series, Google introduced a new design language and its own chipset. It will be the first time when a Tensor-powered Pixel lineup getting an XL model. As a result, Google fans will have three options to pick from, at least in 2024.
