Google Pixel 9 could debut an AI-powered Creative Assistant feature, letting you create stickers and emojis. It comes after Apple introduced the Genmoji feature that uses generative AI to create custom emojis in iOS 18.

AI Creative Assistant is under development for the Google Pixel 9 series. The company is keeping it reserved for the upcoming flagships, but it could be expanded to older models through a Feature Drop update.

Pixel 9 could have a Creative Assistant app for AI emoji and sticker creation. Using it, you will be able to create (“remix”) a sticker using generative AI and paste it onto a screenshot or other image you are editing.

Thanks to the upgraded Gemini Nano, Google’s Pixel 9 will be capable of generating stickers and emojis. However, the app’s processing functionality (on-device or cloud-based) remains to be seen.

Google will launch the Pixel 9 series smartphones in October 2024. This year, three handsets will accompany the lineup including the Pixel 9, Pixel 9 Pro, and Pixel 9 Pro XL.
