Android 15 may let you check Pixel’s battery and storage health
Android 15 may allow you to test and view your Pixel phone’s battery and storage health. These features will let users diagnose problems with their phones before going to the repair centers.
AndroidAuthority Mishaal Rahman discovered a new Device diagnostics section in the third Beta update of Android 15. It brings two new options – “Component health” and “Evaluation mode”.
Pixel’s Component health will allow users to run tests on their display, allowing users to identify screens for defects. Besides, the touch test lets users find any spots on their phones where the touch input is spoiled.
Importantly, the new Device diagnostics section includes battery health and storage health. These features have been under development over the couple of weeks and are expected to debut with Stable Android 15.
Evaluation mode is slated to let users use a secondary, trusted device to access another device. To use it, the primary phone will generate a QR that should be scanned by the diagnosing device to run a series of tests.
