Android 15 seemingly preparing an Adaptive Thermal feature to help Pixel users prevent their phone from overheating. The latest Device Health Services app has discovered clues related to the Adaptive Thermal feature.

AndroidAuthority’s Mishaal spotted the Adaptive Thermal feature in version 1.27 of the Device Health Services app. Google is apparently working on a way to help users prevent their Pixels from overheating.

Mishaal says that the app will warn users if their Pixel is encroaching on those hotter temperatures. Users might get a “pre-emergency” notification from Adaptive Thermal if their device is rising toward 120 degrees Fahrenheit.

The notification could prompt users that the “phone needs to cool down.” Users will be suggested to cool down their phones by temporarily disabling 5G network connection and more.

Care steps that will be presented, include:

  • Try avoiding direct sunlight
  • Put your phone in the open for airflow
  • Close any battery-intensive apps like videos, games, and the camera

If the phone reaches 126 degrees or above, an emergency state will be activated. If the temperature rises considerably to 131 degrees or higher, your device will warn you of an impending shutdown for protection.
