Made by Google: Pixel 9, Watch 3 set to launch two months early on August 13

Google announced the Made by Google event to launch the Pixel 9 and Pixel Watch 3. Scheduled for August 13, this year’s event is taking place more than two months earlier than the usual October timeframe.

Surprisingly, Google shared the first official look at the Pixel 9 Pro smartphone. The teaser video shared by the company highlighted the camera bar of the upcoming Pixel 9 Pro packed with Android and Gemini enhancements.

Google announced that the Made by Google will be held on August 13 from 10 to 11 a.m. PT. In-person event invites have been sent to people through email, with fans worldwide can join the unveiling online through live stream.

Google Store published a Made by Google event landing page featuring a video teaser. The short video demonstrates the Pixel 9 Pro from a closer distance, containing the Roman numeral “IX,” referring to the upcoming lineup.

This year, the Pixel lineup could have three models namely Pixel 9, Pixel 9 Pro, and Pixel 9 Pro XL. The Pixel 9 Pro would have a Pixel 9-sized display with Pro specs, while the Pixel 9 Pro XL will be a true Pixel 8 Pro successor.

Google has been developing Tensor G4 SoC for the upcoming flagship smartphones. The top-tier model will likely have a whopping 16GB of RAM to seamlessly run on-device AI tasks powered by Gemini Nano.
